A sperm whale rises, powerful and grand,
locked in battle with a giant squid.
In the darkness, they clash, a dance of power,
tentacles waving in the blackened night.
The ocean echoes their thunderous struggle,
a symphony of struggle, a watery plague.
Bloody waves bear witness, dark and deep,
The cephalopod and leviathan sweep.
Fate entwines them in a deadly wave,
as they both succumb to the relentless sea.
In the silence that follows, a solemn plea,
A requiem sung by the infinite sea.
No winner emerges, only echoes of the struggle.
A tragic end to the brutal life of the ocean.

I really cant pick a favorite track, this whole album kicks so much ass with its intensity and ferocity from beginning to end. Definitely a new favorite artist. Really gives off Necrophobic vibes with the melodies and atmosphere.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!
